Canvas Mobile App: new message

I am researching the Canvas Mobile App, using an iPad. iPad and App are newest versions. Nothing lets me compose the message. I can select recipients, add attachments and a subject line, but can't get "into" the compose white screen. Anyone run into this, or have ideas?

My iPad isn't handy to check this, but I'll share it with the Canvas Mobile Users​ group to see if they can help!

Hi cholling - In Canvas Mobile for iPad, the space that appears like it is for the "subject line" is actually the body of the message. When you enter enough text to wrap onto a second line, the box will automatically expand. Unfortunately, while Android allows subject lines, iOS does not.

This is the most common complaint about messages in iOS. This is something that the mobile team is exploring and should be fixed within the next year.
