Embed a timer?

Does anyone know how to embed a timer in a page? I'd like to have an embedded timer in a page that counts down from say 5 minutes to use during group discussion time. I've tried linking in a module to a particular website time. But the ones I'm finding don't have secure URLs (https) so they won't display within the Canvas site.

So it's kind of cheesy, but what about a video? YouTube video can easily be embedded on your page; just copy and paste the link.
