WebDav Parts in Canvas

A friend is using a different LMS (VLE) Firefly, which is very popular with UK schools. He tells me that the platform allows him to:

(a). Viewable Documents. Drag over an Office file to a page in the VLE. The Office file then displays as open - eg like embedding - video demo​

(b). Open an uploaded Office file displayed on a course, LIVE edit it and save it on the platform without having to download and re-upload - helpsheet​

I have just watched a video of it and it is amazing. Those people who have a school/institution OneDrive account will know that it is impossible to embed PowerPoint/Word/Excel files but this feature allows it.

Further research would seem to suggest that this could be WebDav.

How awesome would this be to have in Canvas?

Box.com has a similar integration with Office. Could this LMS have something similar?
