Creating a quiz drawn from multiple imported quiz files

Good morning - First time canvas user here. I'm working from a textbook that has 12 chapters and 12 premade quiz files. I can upload the files and create 12 quizzes. However, it's a 7 week class. I want the students to take a quiz on chapters 1-3, 4-5, etc. Is there a way to create a quiz that draws questions from multiple imported files?
The test bank tool feels like it should be the answer, but it doesn't appear to allow you to import files.
Sorry if this question has already been asked. I looked but couldn't find it.
