Enrolling students in sections

Added already enrolled students into sections. Now some of them are showing the status of pending on the people page even though they have already completed work in the first module.  What is going on?

Thank you for reaching out! 

First, when students are added to a course, they are sent an invitation to their dashboard that informs them of this action. Did your students accept your invitation? However, when a student accesses a course they have been invited to, that will automatically accept the invitation. 

Since the students were able to access the modules, most likely what has happened is the accounts that were added were not the same accounts they are accessing. We would recommend that you refer to the people page of your course to ensure there aren't two accounts for the students that list as pending. If you are still experiencing this issue, then we would love to look into your course and troubleshoot the issue. You can post a link to your course here, or reach out to us at Canvas Support and we can troubleshoot with you live.
