Link to a rubric

Hi, I'm trying to kluge my way around the infernal problem of not being able to add two rubrics to an assignment (for this particular assignment, I want to give students the option of choosing their medium and there's different rubrics for each).

My thought was to tell students to refer to the appropriate rubric, and to create a page under the "Key resources" module that includes links to the various rubrics that we use multiple times through the course. But the "course links" doesn't seem to give me that option.

What's the workaround? I feel like the Rubrics are way too locked down in Canvas. We need more flexibility with this important feature.

Unfortunately, graded discussions, graded assignments, and graded quizzes only allow one rubric per assignment.  There is a similar question I helped to answer back in November 2018, and my answer from then still applies today: Solved: Can multiple rubrics be used for one assignment? - Canvas Community.  I would suggest that you check out the link to the Feature Idea I included in that discussion topic so you can add your feedback and rate the idea so that Instructure engineers know this is important to you.

I've not done this but would like to, as I run a project with two choices that need two very different rubrics.

My approach would be to duplicate the assignment for each medium and then add the relevant rubric. Clearly name the assignments and ask students to submit to one only, not all (potential here is for students to submit to the wrong one). Depending on class size you could also restrict the assignment availability to those you know using each medium.
