What is New Quizzes?

When I use the new quizzes it does not give the students the option for the "NEXT" after they submit.  As the students work through a module, I have a page, and assignment, a "new" quiz, and then I have a follow up assignment for students to work on after they finish the quiz.  However, after the students complete the quiz they do not have the option to click next in the bottom right hand corner after they submit.  Instead the only option they have is a return button on the upper right hand side.  My students would have to return to the course home page, and then have to navigate from there to find the assignment I have for after they submit the quiz.  Is there a way using the new quizzes to have that next button appear after they submit their quiz so that the flow of learning for the day is not interrupted by going back to the course home page?
