Conferences and Chromebooks

I want to use BigBlueButton through Canvas.  My students that are using a Chromebook cannot get past the echo test.  They click on the microphone and allow, then they wait and nothing happens.  Is there a setting I need to adjust? It is only the students with a Chromebook that are having this problem.
