What is the Roll Call Attendance Tool?

Is there an option for the students to manually "check in" when they get into Canvas rather than me having to take attendance?  That way, when the period is complete, I can quickly go back, see who was there and take attendance with our external Skyward app.

Have you tried creating a one question quiz having students respond to a T or F question for attendance? It grades automatically and you can change the settings so the points do not add toward the final grade. It would be easy to see who completed the assignment or not.

This solution works only if the instructor does not use attendance toward a grade.  Would be much better solution if Canvas allowed students access to Attendance after login so that the instructor does not have to add attendance manually.  I have precious little time in class already.  Would also be a plus if attendance credit could to be added to an overall score for the course.
