Using the Math Editor for exams and speed grading

I use the math editor to write multiple choice and essay questions for exams. In the past, it has worked very well. But now (April 2021), Canvas is doing some strange stuff that I do not understand. After creating questions on Canvas and sizing the math expressions so they are readable, canvas decides to change the size of the expression, in many cases making the expression extremely small.. This occurs when I preview the exam. I have not been able to change this no matter what setting I use. Anyone have any idea what is going on here?
Also, when using Speed Grader to correct the exam, every test that is presented for grading goes through a process indicated by a pop-up saying "Typesetting" and I must wait to look at the exam. Anyone know what is happening here?
