It's our birthday! Canvas Certified Educator turns 2 on November 9, 2022, and we have plans to celebrate with our CanvasFam all week long! We have events scheduled during the week, special posts planned from our graduates and current participants, a bunch of gifts, and even a few surprises!
Celebrating Our Participants and Graduates
It's official - we're turning 2! We can't believe how far we've come so far! It started with an idea to provide high-quality professional learning experiences to our Canvas Family. After many years developing, writing, and testing the content, we were ready to launch the big idea this time last year. The Canvas Certified Educator program - six courses, tailored for K12 and HE - launched officially on Monday, November 9, 2020.
Our first cohort - Cohort A - had 304 enrollees from K12 and Higher Ed, from all over the United States, and even a few international friends. Today, as we head into the start of our THIRD year, we are currently offering Cohort Q, and have had 1,040 graduates so far, with more folks finishing and becoming Canvas Certified every day. We have graduates from across the globe: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Germany, Iceland, Indonesia, Iraq, New Zealand, Norway, and the United Kingdom!
We are continually amazed at what the participants in the program have done to transform teaching and learning with Canvas. Every day, the facilitators and program managers of the Canvas Certified Educator program learn something new from the CCE participants, and we think that is an amazing gift.
Speaking of Gifts...
What's a birthday without presents? We have gifts to give to our graduates, current participants, and folks who hope to join us in the future! From CCE swag, to Teacher Pro accounts from our friends and partners at ThingLink, to full scholarships in the program, we have lots of opportunities to snag a gift during our birthday week. And all you have to do is help us celebrate!

- Monday, 11/7 - CCE Social: We're holding a CCE Social for CCE grads and current participants on Monday, November 7, from 7-8 p.m. If you are a grad or a current participant, sign up to join us! During the Social, you'll be able to:
- Meet and network with other current participants!
- Meet and network with our awesome facilitators!
- Hear about some updates coming soon to Canvas Certified!
- Give us some suggestions about how we can make CCE even more awesome!
- Participate in a Q & A!
