This behavior has been resolved and deployed to the production environment as of 11/05/25.
When editing an external tool assignment, selecting a new external tool resource is triggering a LtiResourceLinkRequest instead of a LtiDeepLinkingRequest.
Instead it should initiate a LtiDeepLinkingRequest.
Delete the assignment and create a new one.
Prerequisite: Course with an LTI 1.3 using Deep Linking.
-
Create an assignment and use an LTI using deep linking.
-
Edit the assignment and try to select a new deep linked LTI resource.
-
Notice that it instead launches as a resource link request which breaks the tool from working to select the new content.
