Description

  • When an equation that was embedded with the equation editor is centered with the RCE toolbar, the equation is left-justified on the page after saving

    • The equation_image class seems to be the cause of this behavior

Expected Behavior

Equations should display center aligned when it’s set.

Workaround

Type equations using the inline text method \(...\) and center that, or use the block method $$...$$

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Embed an equation in the RCE using the equation editor and use the toolbar icon or Format > Align to center it

  2. Save the page and see the equation is left-justified

  3. Remove class=”equation_image” from the HTML, click Save, and see equation is now centered
