[OPEN] Docviewer cuts-off merged excel cells

If you have merged cells with more then one line of text in an XLSX file Docviewer will only render the first line of the merged cells.

Expected Behavior


Docviewer should show all those beautiful rows of text in the merged cells.


Depending on the use case and the file it can be be converted to a PDF which will render all the text.

Steps to Reproduce


  1. Create a Spreadsheet in Excel

  2. Merge several rows of cells together

  3. Enter in more then one row of text.

  4. upload it to Canvas as a file so that it can be previewed

  5. Notice the preview is cutoff and only has the first line of text.
