How do I manage available proficiency calculation settings for my institution as a Mastery Connect admin?

As a district admin, you can view all available standard proficiency calculation options in the Proficiency Calculation Settings page. You can select which calculation methods are available for schools at your institution.

As a school admin, you can view standard proficiency calculation options selected by your district admin in the Proficiency Calculation Settings page. You can select which calculation methods are available for your teachers.

Proficiency calculation settings determine which standard proficiency calculation options are available to use for specific standards or in trackers. You can choose to allow calculation of student mastery by most recent, mode, maximum value, decaying average, average, or power law. Learn more about proficiency calculation options.

Notes:

  • Updating the Proficiency Calculation Settings does not affect the calculation methods for any trackers currently in use.
  • If a tracker uses a calculation method that you recently removed, it continues to use that method until the teacher changes it. The removed calculation method can only be removed from a current tracker if the teacher updates the tracker calculation method.
