How do I customize tracker settings?

You can adjust the settings for your tracker display view, student and parent portals, and proficiency calculations in the tracker Settings menu. Changing the tracker-level settings sets the default for all new assessments in the tracker, but settings can still be adjusted on the individual assessment level. Please note that the Apply to All Assessments display option will update all assessments in the tracker, including assessments with custom display settings. 

Note: Some settings in the Settings menu can only be adjusted at the district level.

Open Tracker

In Global Navigation, click the Trackers tab [1], and then click the name of the tracker [2].

You can adjust how your tracker displays in your own account by changing the Display Scores settings.

If a student has been assessed in the same standard across multiple trackers, you can hide or display the scores from the other trackers by clicking the Other Trackers checkbox [1].

To hide or display scores from former students in your tracker view, click the Former Students checkbox [2].

Note: To display scores from archived trackers, you need to first unarchive the tracker.

You can adjust the settings for your tracker so that assessments, the answer key, item analysis, student answers, unassessed standards, or power standards for assessments are shown or hidden in the student and parent portals.

To hide or display all the available content in the student and parent portals for your tracker, click the Display in Portals toggle on or off [1].

To hide or display individual components in the student and parent portals, click the applicable checkboxes [2].

To apply the tracker-level settings to all assessments in the tracker, click the Apply to all assessments checkbox [3]. By selecting this checkbox, all assessments in the tracker are updated, including assessments with custom display settings. Applying this checkbox will override any custom display settings previously set.

If your school or district has made multiple proficiency calculations available to you, you can change the default proficiency calculation settings at the tracker level. When you create a tracker, it uses the default calculation method set by your school or district. You can still change the proficiency calculation settings for individual standards after setting the tracker-level proficiency settings.

To select the method for calculating standard proficiency at a tracker level, click the Standard Proficiency menu [1] and select an option from the list. To learn more about the different proficiency calculation methods, click the Information icon [2].

To select a method for determining sub-standard proficiency on a tracker level, click the Sub-Standard Proficiency menu [3] and select an option [4].

Notes:

  • This is a district-only setting.
  • If you do not have access to this feature, please contact your administrator.
  • After all of a parent standard's sub-standards are assessed, the tracker selects the sub-standard with the lowest mastery level to roll-up to the parent standard.

Save Changes

To save your changes, click the Save button.
