Negative point value for items

Hi All,

I noticed that you can have a item in QN worth a negative point value. In what use case would an instructor want to have points deducted for a correct answer?

Thanks!

Hi benjamin.rodriguez8@touro.edu.  Good question!  I suppose that if someone wanted to create a questionnaire where some items were reverse coded this may be useful.  I know that for some questionnaires I have seen, you may get various levels of positive or negative points for responses, so your composite score represents the balance between these items.  Other than that, all I can figure is that maybe in some fields there are licensing exams that take points away from incorrect answers so this may be possible so tests can mirror these?

Great. Thanks, ericwerth‌.
