Is there a text box feature in new quizzes? I want to give instructions for a set of questions but cannot seem to find a way to do this.
Hi there, try adding the instructions as Stimulus Content: https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Instructor-Guide/How-do-I-insert-stimulus-content-in-New-Quizzes/.... Hopefully that does the trick.
Thanks, but that won't work for what I want to do. I want to break my exams down into sections so want a section header and text boxes worked well for this.
In old quizzes I could create a question group and have it choose from multiple text boxes. I don't see a way to have it choose from multiple stimuluses. I want to have multiple versions. Is there a reason why they aren't incorporated? They are very useful!
In new quizzes the random selection is in banks. You should be able to bank multiple stimuli and then add a random 1 (or more) from the bank to the quiz. However, stimulus questions only display to students if they are linked to questions the students can answer, and I do not believe that a banked stimulus keeps its attached questions. That would keep the randomly selected banked stimulus from displaying to students, so it will not work for what you are asking for.
You can create a quiz with multiple stimuli, and attach randomized questions to each stimulus using the banks. That sounds like the opposite of what you are trying to do, however.
