SpeedGrader pulling student groups not individuals

I was just testing grading essay questions in Quizzes LTI on a sample quiz that has 5 test students enrolled in the course.  When I go into SpeedGrader to score the essay responses, in the upper right-hand corner of the screen the drop-down menu appears to list the student groups I have in my course, not the names of the actual students.  I have two groups so can see two quiz submissions, but not the other three student submissions (appear to be attempts under "regular assignment") and the two quizzes that I am shown are named my two student group names.
