Annotated feedback in SpeedGrader and Gradebook

I see that when a Student adds their file they see a preview much like instructors see in Speedgrader. Will this preview display annotated feedback when the Instructor adds it or will Students still need to navigate via the gradebook to find that feedback?

I know from my experience students are able to see the annotations created by their teacher using DocViewer, as long as they are saved. I recall that there is a time limit for adding annotations, here is the Canvas Doc for that How do I add annotated comments in student submiss... - Canvas Community (canvaslms.com).
