Expiry on set date rather than in "x" day/week/month

We are interested in using Credentials for PL and in our RTO space and are looking at a solution that meets the following:

• Badges issued through Canvas (with only teacher interaction being setting the Objectives)
• Badges expire on a given date rather than given duration.

The 2nd criteria is for two reasons

1. RTO can't grant micro-credentials beyond their scope (so if a student completes the credential in September for an item going off scope in January, the badge must expire in January, but if completed in April should also expire in January).
2. Staff PL only have a need to be valid for the year of completion, not for a year from completion.

I'm aware that I can go in and revoke (but this "removes" record of badge completely), and needs admin interaction.

Hello @WatsonWork. While this won't take care of the automated expiration, one option is to include the expiration date as part of the badge name/description/image. That will allow the badge earners to keep a valid record of their achievement in the past, even if the achievement is no longer valid in the present.

Hi @ProfessorBeyrer , that's what I was hoping to do but in the badge creation I only see no expiration and # period limited. Thanks for the info.
