How do I add work experience to my profile?

Your Portfolium profile is a great place to showcase your current and previous work experiences. As you enter your work experiences you will have the chance to attach projects you completed and tag teammates you have worked with.

To open your profile, click the Me icon in the toolbar [1], and then click the View Profile link [2].

Add Work Experience

Click the Add Work Experience link.

Note: If the Add Work Experience button does not display on your profile, scroll to the Work Experience section and click the Add button to add work experience to your profile.

Add Position Information

In the New Work Experience tray, enter the name of the company you worked for [1], your position or role [2], and a description of the position [3].

To add hyperlinks in the description, use markdown formatting. Type the text you want to link in brackets [4] and then type the destination URL between parentheses [5]. There should be no space between the closing bracket and the first parenthesis.

To add an image for the work experience, click the Add an image icon [6] and select an image from your computer or connected social media accounts.

Use the Start Date drop-down menus [1] to indicate the date you started the position. If you are entering a previous work experience, use the End Date drop-down menus [2] to indicate the date you left the position.

If the position is your current position, select the Current position toggle [3]. If the Current position toggle is enabled, Portfolium will leave the end dates blank, indicating this is your currently held position.

To save the work experience, click the Save Changes button [4].

Note: The display order of your entries is determined by the end date of each entry in reverse chronological order. If two entries have the same end date, those items will be arranged alphabetically.

If you want to attach a project to the work experience, select a project you have previously created [1] or click the Add new project link [2]. If you are attaching multiple projects and want to customize the order in which they display, select the Arrange order toggle [3].

When you are ready to publish your work experience to your profile, click the Done button.

View Work Experience

View Work Experience

View the added work experience.

To edit any of the work experience details, click the corresponding Edit icon [1]. To add additional work experiences, click the Add button [2]. To move the Work Experience section up or down in your profile, click the Up or Down Arrow icon.

Note: Portfolium will arrange your work experience in reverse chronological order. If you do not enter your work experiences in reverse chronological order you may have to refresh the page for Portfolium to rearrange the experiences so they display in the correct order.
