Hello,  @ghamjoneslmt  and welcome to the Community.  Look in the People section and see if the student is enrolled in your Canvas course.  If she is, make sure your course is published (https://community.canvaslms.com/docs/DOC-13030-how-do-i-publish-a-course ).  If all of these have been done and the student is still having trouble, please talk to your local Canvas Admin.
