Accounting for excused and unexcused absences in Roll Call

Hi everybody. As a Canvas admin I'm relatively new to Canvas and newer still to participating in Canvas Communities, so please bear with me. This is the issue. We need to find a way to account for excused and unexcused absences in Roll Call. Our faculty are clamoring for this. We already have the Roll Call feature and Badgr installed in our instance. Someone said that Badgr would be the way to go. If so, we'd like to set up the badge(s) at the account level so all faculty would be able to use it/them and ensure consistency. I don't know if that is even possible, but ideally that's how we'd like to handle it. Could someone provide some insight and/or point me to resources that might help with this?
