For an automatically graded quiz in a course there are numerous fudge points added or subtracted to each quiz. The professor contacted me about the issue and my first thought was that he might have tried curving the grades (probably more out of curiosity) but he wasn't sure but said it was a possibility. This is the only reason I can think of why fudge points would be added and subtracted to most of the student's automatically graded quiz.
Is it correct that when curving grades the change in the final grade is added via fudge points?
If not, any other suggestions to the issue of "magically" added fudge points?
