Autosave History For Canvas Quiz

Hey there,

I was working on a lab report in a canvas quiz and when I finished It autosaved and I closed the window. What I didn't know was that I had another window with the quiz in it open and when I clicked on that one which was blank it autosaved that one.

Is it possible to get the previous version back or is it gone forever and I am starting over?

I have emailed my teacher so if there is something they can do on their end that I can direct them to that would be very helpful.

Hi @Chrik9696 

I can tell you that when the quiz auto-saved, it should also have auto-saved your work on the lab report in that quiz, so your work was not lost. My only concern here is that quizzes do not have a Lab Report function, and that you were actually doing that work in a third-party tool outside of Canvas, and it might not have made it to the quiz.

This is, of course, a question for your teacher, so I am glad you have already contacted her/him.
