Buttons that will no longer link to pages or modules

I created buttons for my Canvas pages. I've been using them on my homepages since September and linking them to pages or modules with no problem. Over the last couple of weeks, some of them will no longer link. I go through the normal process to link them along with the buttons next to them on the same page. Some buttons on the same page will accept a link and others will not. I've tried spacing them out and removing and embedding a new image of the button with no success. They are dead. Any ideas?
