Can you schedule Canvas Conferences for future dates?

I would like to go ahead and schedule all my Canvas Conference office hours and four Canvas Conference meetings all on difference dates at difference times and I'm wondering if there is a way to do that in Canvas Conferences? When I go to schedule a meeting there doesn't seem to be any option to select a specific date or time - just a length and description. As such, I could have the titles (or meeting description) of each conference contain the date and time of the conference (e.g. Office Hours May 14th 1-2PM) but that seems clumsy and possibly confusing for students as I believe they an email alert for the conference as soon as it's created. Is there a good way to go about this without having to wait until the day of each conference to create the conference or having to include all the details in the title/meeting description?

Hi Betsy,

I was not successful in trying to set up times without adding dates and times in the title. I did learn that if notifications are kept at default settings, students get an alert when a conference is created - NOT when it starts. So....that adds to even more confusion. I haven't tried it yet, but am considering Scheduler, which is a Calendar tool that creates appointment groups within a course or group.  Here is the information on that. Wish it was better. Not interested in adding it as a product enhancement, though. Wouldn't get enough votes. Not fond of that process.

Did you find an alternative (tool) to schedule a conference?

I know this is an older question, but the 15 Oct 2022 Canvas release includes a new option in Conferences when using BigBlueButton: Add to Calendar. This will create a new Calendar Event at a specific date / time with a link the the video conference.

However, I don't know that this restricts participation in the BBB conference to that date / time window.
