Change Discussion Assignment to Graded

Hi,

I'm trying to change a discussion board assignment from not-graded to "graded," but the gray box won't allow me to check it. I accidentally double-posted the assignment, and one of them (that most students used to access the discussion) did not have the "graded" box checked. I just finished a chat with support, and she said it shouldn't be a problem to switch it to "graded" even tho students already began submissions. Yet I am unable to do this in the Edit function.

I'm horrified to think I may have to go through all 100+ posts and tease out each student's work....

I just had this exact issue. What I ended up doing to correct it was change it to "All Sections" under "Assign to." Once I did this it allowed me to check the "Graded" box. Then I just switched it back to the appropriate section. I have no idea why this worked, but it did.

Thank you, I finally got this very answer through Canvas chat support! He said it's a strange blip, but that's how it works. Who would figure that out??
