Hi,
Here is my goal with my DB assignment:
1. Have students describe something from their own life.
2. I then close the post.
3. I re-open the Board so others in their group can reply.
In other words, I don't want them to be able to reply to each other until I re-open the Board. I had thought disallowing threaded replies would accomplish this, but now see I was wrong.
If there is no way to do this, how do I solve this problem:
I have 8 or so students in each group. They are required to reply to each other. Some students literally wait until the last 5 minutes to put up their original post. They leave no time for others to reply.
I could tell them they have to post their original post at least 4 hours before the Board closes so others have time to respond, but I have over 150 students and dread having to go through and keep hand-written records of what time they put up their original post. Is there a way to make it possible for all 8 students to be able to respond to each other, given that some wait until the last minute?
Thanks,
Julie
