Happy New Year! Sorry to see that your question has been sitting unanswered for such a long time. Yes, it may be possible for you to delete a course on your own as an instructor. But, that functionality may have been taken away from you (a decision that would be made by your school's local Canvas administrator or someone from your school's Online Learning/eLearning department). The Guide for deleting a course can be found at: How do I delete a course as an instructor?. I would highly recommend that you read through the information in the blue box at the top of this Guide and also talk with Canvas people at your school before doing this, though. They would be the best people to talk with about your question.
