Discussion rubric

I looked at your guide for how to add a rubric to a discussion but for some reason my canvas discussions do not have that as an option.  What do I need to do?

When making the assignment you have to click on grading.  Then once you save that setting you can add a rubric in after.

That did not work for me. This is a graded assignment and I still do not have the same options in my menu as the guide shows.

One thing to check is whether you have the preview feature, Discussion Enhancements, turned on in the course. If so, the rubrics portion is still in development:   Solved: New Discussions and Rubrics  and turning off Discussion Enhancements in the Settings | Feature Previews area of the course should resolve the issue.
