Dragging and dropping content to an existing module

Is it possible to return to the drag-and-drop box you get when you first create a module, after there is content in it?  I can add multiple files at once to a new module, which is great, but can't figure out how to get back to that drag-and-drop box once I navigate away from that model.  Trying to avoid the whole multistep upload files to the course (each separate course!!!), then post to the module, blah blah rigamarole--the drag and drop box is a great new addition and I'm hoping it's not only for empty modules.

I'm not finding a way to do this.  One work around would be to add a new module so that you can drag an drop the files you need.  It does, however, seem that this functionality is gone as soon as you navigate away from the page or refresh the page.

Yes, one of our users complained about this. It would be good to be able to get the drag-and-drop zone back for existing modules. Dear Canvas guys - can you please put this on your 'TODO' list?

There is a way to add files to an existing module which is fairly convenient: see my attached image. If you click the '+' button next to the Module then select 'Add: File > Create File(s)' you can then navigate to the file location and add it. It's not as easy as drag-and-drop, but it's more convenient than uploading the files separately through the 'Files' page.

Very much agree with this. I was confused when I couldn't drag and drop new material into content, being forced to go through the more cumbersome "Add" button.

Odd when the drag and drop functionality already exists in new modules.
