E mailing students

I am new to Canvas and have been searching help with a simple question, but have not found an answer. How do I send the students in my course an e mail?

 @irvine_17 ​, I'm not sure where you've checked, but in the Canvas Instructor Guide​ what you are looking for is "Conversations" - this is the Canvas Inbox which is it's version of email (even though it's not a full email client). Specifically this guide should help - How do I compose and send a message?
