Empty Course End Date: Concluding Behavior

If a course ...

• Belongs to a TERM with an end date
• Has "Participation" field changed to "Course"
• Has a course start date entered
• Has NO course end date (blank field)

When will this course soft conclude?

• On the end date of the term?
• Never due to the missing course end date

I have found conflicting information on different message threads.

Greetings! From what I'm reading, it looks like the "course" designation would override the term end dates. So if there are no course end dates, then the course should not conclude. We actually have a number of courses like this and while these settings are new, we've never had these types of courses conclude.
