End date for announcements

Is there a way to set an end date for an annoucement?  I want it to come off the to do list for students at the end of the work week but want it to stay in the module.

Unfortunately, Announcements do not have an "end date" that you can specify.  You can only specify a date to "Post At".  I did search the Community, and I found the following Feature Idea that you might be interested in looking over: Start and End Dates for Announcements.  If you feel that this Feature Idea aligns with something you would like to see implemented in Canvas, please consider "rating" the idea and posting a comment to the bottom letting Instructure know why this would be important to you.  Check out this document for more details: How do idea conversations work in the Canvas Community?.

It would seem, after 2 1/2 years, this would be solved. Seems like a very simple fix.

I would love for announcements to have an end date. I do not want out of date announcements showing on my students module page but I do not want to delete the announcement due to documentation,
