Extra Credit Quiz Creation

I want to create an extra credit multiple choice quiz.  I am not sure how to treat the grading on this, i.e., so that its numerical points score can only help but not hurt the students current grade.  The Canvas "How do I..." lists do not seem to address this specific type of extra credit material.  Thanks for your help! 🙂
