Flash Object in Canvas?

For a canvas course, we would like to migrate a flash object (an interactive timeline) into a canvas page but cannot determine how to do it. We uploaded the flash file to the page, but that is not working. Thanks in advance!

Here's a quick and dirty fix to embed some Flash.

Make a new Page, and in the editor, go to Edit and Insert Media, (or use the HTML Editor).

In the window, go to the Embed tab, and paste this code:

<embed src="https://leodashers.weebly.com/uploads/2/0/6/2/20622312/appleshooter0308.swf" quality="high" pluginspage="//www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" play="true" loop="true" wmode="transparent" allowfullscreen="true" flashvars="" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" align="middle" height="425px" width="720px" data-ss1550604935="1">

Replace the red text with the direct file link to the Flash file (ie, the URL must end with .swf). This will mean that the file will most likely need to be uploaded to a publicly accessible website, if it is not already. I'm not sure how to get this to work uploaded Canvas files, as they don't provide the direct file path. You can paste this right into Canvas to test, if you like. This code is not perfect, and contains some unneeded elements, but it works.

Edit: As a note, Google Chrome does not enable Flash by default. You can open the page in Firefox, or turn Flash on for the page.
