Grades don't auto update from rubric

why doesn't grade on rubric automatically get entered as grade.? Is there a setting to do that. I am having to enter grade manually.

There is a setting for that.

Edit the rubric for the assignment and click the pencil icon to edit the rubric. It may give you warnings about changes, ignore this if it does, it only matters if you actually change the rubric, not the options for using the rubric.

There is a checkbox to "Use this rubric for assignment grading." Make sure it is checked.
