If I have an ungraded assignment that is not due until next week and a -  shows in the grade book, is this grade reflected in the overall student's average that is showing in Canvas? I mean, is Canvas calculating this ungraded assignment that is not due as a 0? Or is it NOT including the upcoming grade in the grade total.

Hi! That little - in the gradebook is just a place-holder. It's not affecting the gradebook. : )

Thank you for your reply! Just to be sure I'm understanding this correctly - If I have an assignment that is due next week in my grade book, and it i showing as  - then it is not computing into the student's overall grade, and it won't be calculated into the student's overall grade until a grade is assigned in that box. Is this correct?
