How are learning outcomes calculated if out of 1 point?

I recently started using Learning Outcomes for quizzes. I set up an outcome to be out of 1 point and with a decaying average. On one assessment, an outcome was assessed twice and a student got one question correct and the other wrong. Their score for the outcome is 0.83. Can someone explain how this was calculated?

I don't know.  But I can confirm it; I was so curious about it that I replicated the scenario in my own system and got the same results.
