How do I back-up my entire Canvas Course by saving it to my hard drive or otherwise please?

Hello,

We have so much time spent building our online courses now and with a significant amount of organized content created that it seems like we should be backing these courses up just like we would if we had worked on any large presentation or document but I have not cracked the code on saving an entire Canvas course worth of content, please advise?

Welcome to the Canvas Community!!!

You will need to use the Canvas Export process in order to "backup" you course.

How do I export a Canvas course?‌

Just for informational purposes, we have been using Canvas for almost 10 years now and do not back up courses in any fashion.  We do have faculty that export their courses for "ease of mind" reasons, but this is left up to the faculty member.
