How do I reassign a quiz with answers when a student accidentally submits instead of pauses?

I had a student submit their quiz instead of pausing it before they were finished. Is there a way to reassign the quiz to them with their answers included and avoid having them retake the entire quiz?

Currently this is not possible in Canvas using the legacy quiz tool; and for the record, there is no "Pause" feature in Canvas. If you have not time-limited the quiz and the due date has not passed, students simply exit the quiz, then resume it later where they left off.
