How do you create an Arrow for a chemistry quiz question-Multiple choice shows boxes , the arrows are replaced by boxes?

I need to create a multiple choice quiz for Chemistry. How do I have arrows in some of the choice answers?As you can see below the question comes pastes with no arrows from word doc to canvas. Little squares show up really...

Example:

1. Which of the following is the reduction of the electrolytic half reaction(rxn) occurring at the Anode?
2. 3I^- à I₃ + 2e-
3. I₃^- + 2e- à 3I^-
4. I₃^- + 2e- à I₃^- + 2e-
5. I₂ (aq) + I^- (aq) à I₃^- (aq)
6. what it should be below:

Hi

In new quizzes, use \(\rightarrow\) to get the right arrow. In classic quizzes, use the square root of x symbol and choose the arrow tab.
