How to change a page into an assignment

How do I change a page into an assignment. I have already created a page but now would like it as an assignment.

Welcome to the Canvas Community!!!

Unfortunately, you cannot simply convert a Page into an Assignment.  What you can do though is copy the content on the Page and paste it into the Assignment instructions when you create the assignment.  This works great for plain text, but if you have links to outside resources or resources with that Canvas course, you will need to relink them.
