If a student is taking a quiz by WiFi, will there be a problem if their device changes from one WiFi network to another during the quiz attempt?

Jump to solution

For example, from "library" to "guest" or "secure" to their personal hotspot. Devices sometimes change on their own to get a better signal, and students might change connections during an attempt (such as to a personal hotspot if it is faster). I want to make sure their quiz attempts will not be disrupted in anyway the student would notice. Thanks!

terdale@scf.edu, I'm guessing this probably happens a lot and we've never had a student issue as long as there was a wifi connection throughout the exam. So switching didn't mess things up as long as wifi service wasn't disrupted. At the bottom of the quiz, it indicates the last time the quiz was saved and in previous testing it appears to save every time a student answers a question or types something in on the quiz. I would tell students to make sure to check that the quiz is saving if they have any questions.
