Importing Thin CC as Gradeable Items

Hi Folks,
We're trying to import a number of vendor provided content which are in the thin cc format (which is great!) The items import correctly but they come in as external tool links which are not gradeable. This means that when a student completes the activities in the vendor's platform no grade is able to come back. We've figured out a VERY labor intensive workaround of copying the url from the external tool link, creating a new external tool assignment, pasting it, etc but we have somewhere in the triple digits of course packages to import and that is way too many for the team to handle using that manual process.
So the question is whether there is a way to import a thin cc package so that they are gradeable from the start without having to do those time consuming steps?
