Is it possible to extract a video submission out of discussions?

Jump to solution

I have some 5th grade students who submitted videos to me as part of an assignment. As I requested, they placed those videos in ‘discussions’ on Canvas.

Now I want to move those videos into another file so I can edit them, but I cannot see a way to do that.

Can anyone assist?

It may depend on how they posted them in their discussion post.  If they attached them you should be able to click on each file and download it.

Renee,

Thank you so much for your reply. These videos were embedded, and there is no way that I see to download or copy or manipulate them in any way. I did click on the ‘edit’ option, but that does not let me move them in any way.

Stefanie,

Thank you so much for the reply! You have the answer I was needing! I just tried this solution, and it worked!

My pleasure, Daniel! That solution was an oldie, but a goodie. Smiley Happy
