In the student log file, there is a timestamp that says when the student submitted the quiz. Is it possible to track the time a student spent on a per question basis?

@h_j_p_weerts , yes, there is! It’s called the quiz log and here is the guide that explains more about it and how to access it - https://community.canvaslms.com/docs/DOC-12835-4152295598
Hope this helps!

Hi @kona , thanks for your answer! Do you know whether it is possible to export student's quiz logs in e.g. a csv?
I want to analyze the student's response time per question, and as you can imagine it is not really doable to record the log manually for all students...
I’m not sure if this is possible on the front end of Canvas. I’m thinking no, but that’s more from not remember ever seeing that functionality rather than me ever looking for it. If you don’t see a download button, link, etc somewhere on the quiz log page then no, it’s not on there.
On the back back end of Canvas (using the API) I know you can get this information, but this requires some technical/programming expertise... or knowing someone who does!
