Is there a bit of code you can input to add 'Estimated Reading Time: X minutes' onto a page?

I was wondering if there was a bit of code floating around that would allow me to add Estimated Reading Time (X minutes) similar to how the pages on this website has Start Small, Start Now | Accessible U ?

Yes and No. 

The codes are everywhere, like this one in Github. Basically it is a JavaScript based on the assumption of your regular average reading rate words/minutes. 

The sad story is, If you are not your system admin, Canvas page strips off any JavaScript codes. Maybe you can contact your IT to see if they can install this into your school theme.
